As you set out from Gatlinburg you will want to allocate at least a couple hours for this adventure. From Gatlinburg it is roughly 27 miles to Cades Cove, the loop around Cades Cove is another 11 miles. Motorists are given the great opportunity to sightsee from the convenience of their car. Some visitors rent bikes and do a cycling tour of the area.

Cades Cove is famous for being the place that visitors see more Bears, Deer, Turkey as well as other indigenous wildlife, it is a perfect place to visit. There are many pull offs around the Cades Cove loop, Be sure to bring your camera so that you can take some awesome photos of you and your family. One of my favorite things to do is to pack a small picnic lunch so that the family and I can pull off some place and have a quiet few moments away from the world. It is the perfect place to unplug from society and just breathe.
